Comparison of nematode communities in anecic earthworm casts and adjacent soil reveal a land use-independent trophic group signature

چکیده
By ingesting soil and organic matter in different horizons depositing casts on surface, anecic earthworms have large influence ecological processes. However, we still a limited understanding of the consequences earthworm casting activity nematode communities, role played by land use this relationship. Therefore, main objective study was to compare effect Amynthas adexilis (Thai, 1984) structure woodland meadow presenting C content northern Vietnam. Nematode population physico-chemical properties produced A. adjacent no recent (0–10 cm deep) were characterized. incorporated into its compared bulk top horizon, reflected significant increase carbon nitrogen contents (1.4 times more 1.8 woodland). Earthworm contained 2.6 1.7 nematodes than soil, woodland, respectively. The community similar both uses. Compared significantly enriched all trophic groups (between 1.9 11.6 meadow, between 1.6 23.7 depending group), except for obligate plant feeders that under-represented less uses). parasitic index decreased indicating an environment favourable nematodes.

Soil surface macrofaunal communities associated with earthworm casts in grasslands of the Eastern Plains of Colombia
Earthworms are known to modify life conditions for other soil organisms through their drilospheric activities. The effects of a large anecic species, Martiodrilus carimaguensis JimeÂnez and Moreno, on soil macrofaunal communities were investigated in a natural and a man-made grassland of the Eastern Plains of Colombia. Invertebrates were sampled by a standard hand sorting method at different sp...

The impact of soil organisms on soil functioning under neotropical pastures. A case study of a native anecic earthworm species
The description of main biological, ecological and functional attributes of a native earthworm species in a natural savanna and several introduced pastures from the Eastern Plains of Colombia was the main objective in this study. To achieve this a set of different experiments and explicit field work were designed and carried out at the Carimagua Research Station, 320 km east from Villavicencio ...
